What you will do

  • Reconcile balance-sheet, payables and general-ledger accounts before month-end deadlines.
  • Look into mismatches and either fix them or pass unusual cases up the line.
  • Post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and the schedules that back them.
  • Check payables cutoff and completeness, chasing down open or odd items.
  • Review vendor, corporate-card and reimbursement activity for correct coding and entity.
  • Help with card, reimbursement and bill-pay accounting, working with the AP specialist on exceptions.
