Staff Accountant

About the role

A junior accountant role delivering hands-on bookkeeping and reporting for a varied roster of growing consumer, tech and food businesses, with wide exposure across sectors and accounting areas.

What you will do

• Handle payables, receivables, general ledger, inventory and payroll entries
• Build balance sheet reconciliations covering prepaids, fixed assets, accruals and deferred revenue
• Produce balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements
• Prepare local filings, property tax, licences and contractor tax forms
• Support audits and keep accounting policies consistent across clients
• Resolve quality control findings and coordinate with overseas partners

What they look for

• At least two years of operational accounting experience
• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
• Working knowledge of Excel, Teams and Outlook
• Clear written and spoken communication with strong accuracy and organisation
• Proactive approach and comfort in a fast-paced, client-focused setting

Nice to have

• Familiarity with QBO, NetSuite, Shopify, SOS or Cin7
• Exposure to e-commerce startups or packaged consumer goods
• CPA candidacy or Big-4 background
