Technical Communications Specialist

About the role

A communications role supporting a public health insurance program, turning finalized system requirements and screen language into clear notices and emails for users.

What you will do

• Write and revise announcements, notices and automated emails from finalized inputs after multi step reviews
• Prepare website content change notices that match release dates and approved system behavior
• Handle quick turnaround content while keeping accuracy and consistency across releases
• Track and resolve reviewer comments, aligning wording with approved terminology and accessibility rules
• Coordinate with liaisons, operations and production support so messages match deployment timelines
• Maintain templates, tone and formatting, checking content against approved language and Section 508 rules

What they look for

• Bachelor degree plus at least five years writing or technical communications for federal or regulated programs
• Proven skill at turning complex policy and technical requirements into user centered communications
• Experience with fast turnaround communications tied to structured release schedules and version control
• Section 508 remediation and validation of documents and web content in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Acrobat
• Experience with email templates and public notices aligned to approved screen language
• Advanced Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills including styles, tracked changes and accessibility tools
