Transmission Line Engineer II or III, High Voltage

About the role

Design overhead high and medium voltage lines linking large solar and storage plants to the grid, turning project needs into buildable, safe and economical designs.

What you will do

• Prepare load sheets and specs for custom steel poles and check fabricator drawings
• Coordinate foundation design and build terrain models from LiDAR and survey data
• Lead smaller line projects or parts of larger ones through to construction issue

What they look for

• Experience designing overhead transmission and medium voltage lines
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER
• Knowledge of NESC, ASCE 74, ASCE 48 and IEEE standards
• Ability to handle non-routine conditions such as crossings and constrained rights of way
• Track record of managing design scope to schedule and budget
