VP, Fund Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

A senior relationship role focused on winning new fund banking business from private equity, venture capital and emerging manager clients, and on growing deposits and loans for the fund and sponsor banking team.

What you will do

• Win new business among private equity, venture capital and emerging manager firms and carry out growth strategies
• Structure and position loans across the full fund finance range, including capital call lines and NAV facilities
• Cultivate referral sources and target funds to sell fund banking products and widen the client book
• Keep a strong opportunity pipeline and log deal activity and investor calls in a CRM such as Salesforce
• Lead first sales calls, gather loan request details and guide prospects through due diligence and underwriting
• Assess financial condition and initial risk, present financing recommendations to credit committee and negotiate terms

What they look for

• Experience developing new business in private equity, venture capital or the emerging manager community
• Strong grasp of structuring and positioning fund finance products
• Ability to analyse financial condition and make initial risk assessments within credit policy
• Skill at negotiating loan terms and coordinating closings with internal teams
• Comfort using CRM tools to track pipeline and client activity
