Financial Controller

About the role

Own the accuracy of financial records and build scalable accounting processes for a growing international medical device company. The role covers financial close, group consolidation, tax compliance and oversight of a small accounting team.

What you will do

• Run the monthly, quarterly and yearly close for the whole group
• Coordinate accounting across several legal entities and jurisdictions with consistent practices
• Supervise a two-person team handling revenue, inventory, payroll, accruals and the general ledger
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and balance sheet accounts, resolving open items
• Improve close speed and reliability and support annual audits
• Partner with FP&A on accurate and consistent financial reporting

What they look for

• Experience owning financial close and consolidation across multiple entities and currencies
• Knowledge of VAT compliance and indirect taxes such as GST and sales tax
• Ability to investigate complex accounting issues and reconciliations hands on
• Experience supervising accounting staff and external providers
• Familiarity with intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation
• Valid work permit for the country of residence
