Account Manager

About the role

Owns a book of smaller accounts in secondary markets and grows spend per account. Success means steady revenue growth and customers who keep renewing.

What you will do

• Sell new lines into existing accounts and move them to higher tiers
• Run status and strategy meetings to match customer needs to product lines
• Coordinate forecasts with the internal team and set up new customers in company systems

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of quota-based sales, or 5 years without a degree
• Background in cold calling and full-cycle commissioned sales of tangible products
• Track record of sales growth and hitting quota
• Comfort selling to several levels inside a customer organisation
• Intermediate SAP and Excel skills, plus Word and Outlook

A typical week

• Most of each day in the car visiting healthcare sites
• Regular meetings with physicians, office managers and purchasing staff
• Reviewing account status and planning strategy with customers
• Updating forecasts and account records internally
