Accounting Specialist

About the role

A remote accounting role covering receivables, payables, commission calculations and reconciliations. The person reports to an operations manager and works with finance and sales colleagues.

What you will do

• Issue customer invoices, monitor unpaid balances and chase overdue accounts
• Record incoming payments and clear mismatches in customer accounts
• Handle vendor bills, keep supplier records current and settle billing queries
• Work out and pay sales commissions from agreed plans and verify figures against sales data
• Carry out daily and monthly reconciliations and help with month end close
• Keep books current in accounting software and build reports for internal teams

What they look for

• Two or more years of professional accounting, receivables or payables experience
• Solid grasp of core accounting rules and reconciliation practice
• Hands on professional use of Salesforce for sales data, reporting and commission work
• Advanced skill with Excel or Google Sheets
• Strong numeracy, analysis and problem solving with close attention to detail
