AI Field Engineer, Enterprise

About the role

Embed with major enterprise clients to turn complex generative AI problems into working production systems. Combine hands-on engineering with executive-level communication to move deals from first call to deployment.

What you will do

• Run technical discovery sessions, define proof of concept scope, and validate model architecture through load tests and evaluations
• Build proof of concepts and production integrations directly inside customer environments, working around their infrastructure and security
• Advise clients on model choice, fine-tuning approaches such as SFT, DPO and RFT, and evaluation methods
• Handle relationships across many enterprise stakeholders, finding technical champions and aligning decision makers
• Report recurring customer pain points and deployment patterns to inform the product roadmap

What they look for

• Hands-on experience with LLM inference or training and knowledge of open-model frameworks like vLLM, SGLang or TensorRT-LLM
• Fine-tuning experience with SFT at minimum, DPO or RFT a strong plus
• Proven record of shipping production code within a customer's environment, not only advisory work
• Strong Python skills plus GPU and cloud infrastructure experience on AWS, Azure or GCP, with Kubernetes comfort
• Executive presence and enterprise navigation skills, able to present trade-offs to leadership
• Pre-sales or customer-facing field engineering background with at least three years in client-facing AI or ML roles
