Application Security Intern

About the role

An internship supporting a regional security team, with hands-on work in application security tooling, manual code review and AI assisted security automation under practitioner mentorship.

What you will do

• Help build and refine AI assisted security harnesses, covering prompt design, tool integration and output checks
• Review source code by hand for injection, authentication and data handling weaknesses, applying OWASP standards
• Write up findings with evidence, risk context and remediation advice, and link them to automated tool results
• Join limited client engagements and tool discussions while shadowing experienced staff

• Willingness to learn tool configuration, tuning and integration inside CI/CD and development workflows
