Associate Attorney, Consumer Protection

About the role

A full time attorney role handling consumer protection matters for clients in Maryland, with transactional and civil litigation work. The position is home based but requires travel for court appearances.

What you will do

• Maintain and supervise a large, varied caseload of the firm's Maryland clients
• Communicate with clients about the status and details of their matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda and agreements
• Negotiate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims
• Conduct legal research on contract law and other consumer law issues
• Travel to court appearances as required

What they look for

• Currently admitted to practice law in Maryland
• At least one year of relevant experience at a law firm
• Strong organization and time management to meet strict deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong legal research skills
