Associate Attorney

About the role

A full-time attorney role handling consumer protection matters for a New York based firm, focused on clients in Georgia. The work spans transactional and civil litigation issues with a heavy caseload.

What you will do

• Manage and supervise a large, varied caseload of Georgia clients
• Speak with clients about the status of their matters
• Draft pleadings, motions and legal memoranda and review agreements
• Deal with opposing parties to settle claims
• Research simple and complex contract and consumer law questions
• Travel to make court appearances

What they look for

• Current admission to practice law in Georgia
• At least one year of relevant law firm experience
• Strong organization and time management to hit strict deadlines
• Excellent written and spoken communication
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Good legal research skills and ease working with all levels of staff
