What you will do
- Counsel on real estate financing deals secured by multifamily properties, mainly representing lenders
- Draft, review and negotiate loan, servicing and related transaction documents
- Advise on title insurance, surveys, zoning, environmental issues, insurance, post-closing covenants and reporting
- Advise on program requirements, securitizations, sub-servicing duties and regulatory developments
- Work with business, risk, compliance, operations and outside counsel on deals and process improvements

- Four or more years of legal experience
- Experience representing lenders in multifamily secured real estate financing, with borrower-side work also valued
- Solid knowledge of real estate loan documentation and related matters such as title, surveys, zoning, environmental concerns, insurance and
- Strong communication, negotiation, technology and problem-solving skills
- A Juris Doctor or equivalent and a license to practice in a relevant jurisdiction
Nice to have
- Five or more years in a law firm, in-house department or both
- Two or more years with multifamily agency finance deals, especially those originated by Fannie Mae DUS or Freddie Mac Optigo lenders
- Experience representing an agency seller or servicer across origination, servicing and asset management
