What you will do
- Generate demand by showing technical expertise and selling solutions to hit a sales target
- Build and keep relationships with contractors, distributors and others in the industry
- Train key decision makers and users so they back the product line
- Work with the distribution sales side to close deals and place more products
- Develop new contractor and project leads for the pipeline
- Be the field voice for new product launches in your area
A typical week
- Roughly 80% of time with contractors, 10% with distribution, 5% with engineers and 5% on admin
- Visiting customers across the territory to present and promote valve solutions
- Meeting distributors and engineers to move projects forward
- Logging activity and market news in CRM and reporting tools
What they look for
- At least five years in outside sales, ideally in the pipe, valve and fittings trade
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time
- Comfortable using CRM, Tableau and Dodge reporting
- Self-driven, positive and good at solving problems
- Confident communicator who stays calm under pressure
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Virtual Design and Construction tools
- Experience in the valve industry
