Finance Director

About the role

A senior finance leader directing financial management and strategic priorities for a multi state chapter, advising conservation, philanthropy and operations leaders on sustainability and sound controls.

What you will do

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis and internal controls for the chapter
• Advise business unit leaders on financial strategy, capital structure and liquidity planning
• Deliver reporting, scenario modeling and recommendations that support long term sustainability
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and propose ways to improve performance
• Supervise, coach and develop finance staff and set team priorities
• Ensure compliance with policies, donor requirements, regulations and accounting principles

What they look for

• Senior finance leadership experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission driven setting
• Strength in planning, forecasting, analysis and internal controls
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance
• Experience supervising and developing finance staff
• Ability to advise executives and volunteer governance groups
