Financial Accountant

About the role

Support the financial management of a nonprofit coordinating a regional homeless response system. The role covers compliance, budgeting support, auditing and day-to-day accounting.

What you will do

• Help ensure spending follows federal and state program rules, statutes and accounting standards
• Prepare monthly grant and contract reimbursement requests, including time sheets and subcontractor claims
• Review documentation to confirm costs are allowable and allocable under regulations and agreements
• Record revenue from foundations, grants and private contributions and reconcile it against the general ledger
• Handle bank and balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset records and employee benefit expenditure entries
• Compare budgets with actual spending to flag over or under expenditure

• Experience with grant and contract reimbursement processes
• Ability to support budgeting, auditing and accounts payable and receivable work

Pay

USD 65,700 to 76,800 per year
