Financial Crimes Quality Assurance Analyst I

About the role

An entry level quality assurance role supporting second line financial crimes oversight across anti money laundering, sanctions and fraud. The analyst reviews outputs, flags inconsistencies and helps strengthen oversight and risk management.

What you will do

• Perform quality reviews of second line casework, memos and decisions for accuracy and completeness
• Check whether risk based judgments fit internal standards and regulatory expectations
• Run horizontal reviews to find systemic weaknesses and trends across outputs
• Document findings with root cause, impact and severity ratings
• Track and validate remediation of issues within compliance
• Look for ways to standardize oversight and use data analytics to spot anomalies

What they look for

• Bachelor degree in finance, business, risk management or a related field
• Two or more years in financial crimes such as AML, sanctions or fraud
• Direct experience in second line compliance oversight or QA of financial crimes functions
• Knowledge of BSA/AML and sanctions regulatory expectations
• Understanding of second line roles in a three lines of defense model
