Intake Specialist Overnight/Weekend

About the role

A remote overnight and weekend role entering workers compensation claims received by phone into the system accurately and on time, following client and state protocols.

What you will do

• Gather information from injured workers and employers to classify the injury
• Enter first reports of injury from phone, fax or email within deadlines
• Follow phone-tree procedures and emergency protocols, routing calls to triage
• Check data such as spelling, grammar, social security numbers and location
• Research cases that cannot be entered and scan new claim documents
• Handle other clerical tasks as needed

What they look for

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Available for Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Eastern
• Proactive and independent with strong follow through
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking and organization in a fast-paced setting

Nice to have

• At least one year of medical terminology or medical office experience
