What you will do
- Prepare quarterly and yearly statutory and GAAP financial statements with analysis and disclosures
- Compile regulatory schedules and exhibits for insurance filings
- Reconcile accounts under both GAAP and statutory bases
- Record routine monthly and quarterly journal entries
- Assist with internal and external audits
What they look for
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution
- Hands-on insurance accounting and statutory reporting experience
- Background in life, health or reinsurance accounting
- Ability to analyze issues and resolve them
Nice to have
- Public accounting background
- CPA credential with statutory reporting experience
- Established project management abilities
- Skill in documenting, planning and rolling out programs
