Litigation Partner, Professional Liability Insurance Defense

About the role

A senior litigation role leading professional liability and insurance defense matters for institutional and insurance clients. Attorneys may work remotely anywhere in Florida.

What you will do

• Lead complex professional liability defense cases from evaluation to resolution or trial
• Set litigation strategy, assess exposure and advise clients
• Handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, hearings and mediation
• Manage matters independently while coordinating with colleagues and support staff
• Deal directly with carriers, corporate clients, opposing counsel and experts
• Build client relationships through responsive communication and quality work

What they look for

• Active Florida Bar license
• Eight or more years of professional liability insurance defense experience
• Strong litigation, strategy, writing, deposition and negotiation skills
• Ability to run a sophisticated caseload independently
• Experience representing insurers, institutions or businesses in contested matters
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

USD 150,000 to 225,000 per year
