Medical Virtual Assistant, Lab Results and Patient Coordination

About the role

A remote assistant role supporting lab and imaging results follow-up, patient communication, scheduling and chart documentation. The assistant relays provider-reviewed information and keeps clinical administrative workflows running smoothly.

What you will do

• Review provider-documented instructions on lab and imaging results
• Contact patients to relay provider-reviewed results and next steps clearly and professionally
• Recognize when a patient needs an appointment or should return to the provider
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate testing, referrals, repeat labs or imaging as directed
• Document patient interactions accurately in AdvancedMD and update charts with notes and follow-up actions
• Escalate clinical questions, unclear instructions or concerns beyond administrative scope to providers

What they look for

• Strong medical assistant background with clinical understanding
• Confidence speaking directly with patients by phone
• Clear, patient communication, especially with elderly patients
• Accurate EHR documentation skills
• Ability to follow provider direction without interpreting results or giving medical advice
• Strong organizational and coordination skills

Pay

USD 5 to 6 per hour
