Medical Virtual Assistant, Lab Results and Patient Coordination

About the role

Support a busy primary care practice remotely by relaying provider-reviewed lab and imaging results to patients, coordinating follow-up appointments and keeping charts accurate. The role is administrative, not clinical interpretation.

What you will do

• Contact patients by phone to share results and instructions that providers have already reviewed and documented
• Explain the next administrative steps to patients based on the provider's written direction
• Book follow-up visits when a provider requests one and help arrange referrals, repeat labs or imaging
• Record every patient interaction, scheduling change and follow-up action in the EHR system
• Flag clinical questions, unclear instructions or patient concerns to providers and the wider team

What they look for

• A strong medical assistant background with solid clinical understanding
• Confidence and patience when speaking directly with patients, including elderly ones
• Accuracy in documenting patient communication and following healthcare confidentiality standards
• Comfort with phone systems, email and EHR documentation workflows
• Ability to tell when a patient needs an appointment or provider follow-up

Pay

USD 5 to 6 per hour
