Quality Assurance/Project Controller

About the role

An experienced tester is needed to oversee software quality for a medical development team, acting as the last check before releases go live and advising on release readiness.

What you will do

• Create and upkeep test plans, cases, scripts and automated suites for web apps, APIs, ETL and data warehouses
• Run testing and defect tracking inside application lifecycle management pipelines, including release readiness checks
• Find, rank and follow defects, performance problems and integration faults using logs, monitoring data and test output
• Report test strategy, metrics, risks and release findings to government project managers and other stakeholders
• Give documented go, conditional go or no-go release recommendations with technical reasoning and required fixes
• Coach others on testing standards and quality practices, and use AI-assisted tooling to build scalable automation

What they look for

• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Puppeteer, Java, JUnit, NUnit or REST Assured
• Ability to test RESTful services and APIs, covering auth, request and response checks, contract and performance testing
• Skill in cross-browser, accessibility, database, backend and integration testing
• Ability to write SQL queries to verify transactions, data accuracy and end-to-end behavior
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework, security reviews, authority to operate and independent verification work
• Secret clearance and willingness to travel occasionally within the continental US
