About the role

A senior leadership role owning the global research and development vision for a software defined grid automation portfolio, turning technical ideas into market ready products and growing the business.

What you will do

• Define and execute a long term technology roadmap that balances near term product improvements with breakthrough exploration
• Recruit, mentor and lead large teams of engineers, scientists and delivery managers, allocating resources for on time, quality delivery
• Oversee the R&D budget, intellectual property portfolio and deployment of laboratory or software tools
• Drive adoption of AI technology and define the tools, skills and processes needed for its development lifecycle

What they look for

• Advanced degree such as a master's or PhD in a technical, scientific or engineering field
• At least fifteen years of progressive leadership over R&D or product innovation teams
• Demonstrated record of turning complex research into scalable commercial offerings
• Strong business and technical judgement, with initiative in thought leadership
• Strategic thinking combined with hands-on problem solving and comfort deciding under uncertainty
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills
