A founding role owning year-end compliance for a portfolio of Australian SME clients. You work directly with the director on technical accounting and tax matters.

What you will do
- Handle trust returns, distribution resolutions and unpaid present entitlements
- Prepare BAS and IAS, GST reconciliations, PAYG reviews and year-end STP and superannuation reconciliations
- Complete SMSF annual statements, returns and audit packs using BGL Simple Fund 360
- Manage corporate secretarial tasks such as ASIC reviews and company registers via BGL CAS 360
- Review and clean up Xero ledgers, including reconciliations, journals, accruals and fixed asset registers
What they look for
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Strong knowledge of Australian income tax, Division 7A, trust taxation and UPEs, FBT, CGT and GST
- Hands-on Xero experience
- Intermediate or better Excel skills
- Excellent written and spoken English for client-facing emails
Nice to have
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager
