Senior Manager, Development

About the role

The role leads development of utility-scale solar and wind projects across the upper Midwest, from early prospects through permitting and interconnection.

What you will do

• Manage wind, solar and storage projects at early, mid or late stages in line with company strategy
• Identify prospects through market assessment, fatal flaw review and initial site visits
• Secure site control by negotiating leases, easements and other landowner agreements
• Lead efforts to obtain local, state and federal permits and represent the company to stakeholders
• Initiate and manage generation interconnection work and oversee project design
• Assist with budgeting and scheduling while coordinating internal and external technical support

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree
• At least eight years of experience in the renewable and clean energy industry
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or later
• Willingness to travel, including to Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota or Iowa

Nice to have

• Degree in business or engineering, or a master's degree or MBA
• Ten or more years in renewable energy or a similar field
• Strong organisation, networking, leadership, time management and accounting skills
• Public speaking ability, concise report writing, and familiarity with solar development, real estate, transmission or power project engineer

Pay

USD 165,000 to 200,000 per year
