About the role

An experienced engineer is needed to build, run and modernize an enterprise MongoDB platform spanning on-premises systems and a managed cloud database service, covering design, automation, security and reliability.

What you will do

Build, deploy and administer MongoDB environments in production and non-production, both on-premises and in a managed cloud service
Design and run replica sets and sharded clusters, including topology, storage, networking and capacity
Set engineering standards, reference architectures, build procedures and operational controls
Plan and execute failover, recovery and disaster-recovery tests, and maintain backup and restore processes

Strong Linux administration skills
Hands-on work with replica sets and sharded clusters
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery
Ability to partner with application, infrastructure, security, SRE, network and cloud teams
