Senior Software Engineer, JAX

About the role

Senior engineers develop an AI platform, focusing on performance optimizations in deep learning frameworks built on JAX. The work aims to deliver fast, modular tooling for data, training and analysis.

What you will do

• Contribute to the JAX project and help shape its core components
• Design and implement JAX internals and drive peak performance on company products
• Work with AI researchers and leaders to build future-proof models
• Create tools that raise the efficiency of teams developing AI systems
• Connect advances in numerical computing, simulation and deep learning research to real products

What they look for

• BS in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Six or more years of relevant experience
• Programming skills in C/C++ and Python
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and their internals, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn
• Proven ability to build customer-facing solutions while balancing feature requests and bugs
• Solid grounding in CPU and GPU architectures, numeric libraries and modular software design

Nice to have

• Understanding of distributed deep learning training, including multi-GPU and multi-node setups
• Background in software shipping cycles such as development, deployment, release and CI
