Short-Term Rental Accountant

About the role

Supports the financial operations of a short-term rental portfolio, handling payables, owner charges, trust reconciliations and bookkeeping in Guesty and Xero.

What you will do

• Process accounts payable, vendor invoices, utility bills, reimbursements and supplier payments
• Verify invoices against work orders, contracts and property records before paying
• Reconcile trust and operating bank accounts, reservations, guest payments and OTA payouts
• Investigate discrepancies, duplicates and unallocated payments
• Prepare owner statements and support month-end close and reporting

What they look for

• Hands-on Guesty experience with owner charges, statements, payments or reconciliations
• Working knowledge of Xero, including bank reconciliations and reporting
• Understanding of trust accounting principles and fund separation
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills such as lookups and pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes
