Team Lead, Sales (Synthetic Biology, West Coast)

About the role

A sales leadership role responsible for revenue growth of a synthetic biology product portfolio across a North American region, while managing a team and a focused territory.

What you will do

• Drive the team to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
• Develop and execute sales strategy and tactics for the synthetic biology portfolio with management
• Identify and open new markets and accounts, and expand sales of the full product line into existing accounts
• Deliver accurate, timely revenue forecasts to leadership
• Coach and develop direct reports, and help shape hiring and training plans
• Keep CRM records current and represent the company at trade shows and conferences

What they look for

• Consistent track record of hitting quarterly and annual financial targets
• At least eight years selling synthetic biology focused products
• Solid knowledge of synthetic biology markets and applications
• Hands-on experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce

Nice to have

• One to two years of leadership or field management experience
• Self-motivated with strong scientific problem-solving skills
