Associate Attorney

About the role

A full-time attorney role handling consumer protection cases in Georgia, covering both transactional work and civil litigation. The position involves a varied caseload and close contact with a main office in another state.

What you will do

• Manage and oversee a large, varied caseload of clients in Georgia
• Keep clients informed about the status of their matters
• Prepare pleadings, motions and legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements
• Negotiate with opposing parties to settle claims
• Research contract law and other consumer law questions, simple and complex
• Attend court appearances, which requires travel

What they look for

• Currently licensed to practice law in Georgia
• At least one year of relevant law firm experience
• Excellent organization and time management to meet firm deadlines
• Outstanding written and spoken communication
• Strong ethics and professional integrity
• Ability to work well with senior management and staff at every level
