Associate Attorney, Consumer Protection

About the role

A full-time attorney role handling consumer protection matters for clients in Maryland, covering both transactional work and civil litigation, with the firm's main office contacted remotely.

What you will do

• Manage and oversee a large and varied caseload for clients in Maryland
• Keep clients informed about the status of their matters
• Prepare pleadings, motions and legal memoranda, and review and draft agreements
• Negotiate with opposing parties to settle claims
• Research straightforward and complex questions in contract and consumer law
• Travel to attend court appearances

What they look for

• Currently licensed to practice law in Maryland
• At least one year of relevant law firm experience
• Strong organization and time management to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with all levels of staff
