Legal Counsel

About the role

A fully remote legal role supporting a growing insurtech business, covering commercial contracts, employment matters, corporate records and privacy questions.

What you will do

• Advise internal teams on legal risks and positions to guide business decisions
• Support HR on employment terms, contractor engagements and offboarding, drafting related documents
• Maintain corporate records and file corporate documents in line with applicable laws
• Improve legal templates, processes and policies, and monitor regulatory developments
• Review NDAs, track contract obligations and renewals, and coordinate with external counsel on IP matters

What they look for

• A legal degree from an accredited institution
• At least two years of experience as a legal practitioner, legal officer, paralegal or similar
• Proven skill in drafting, reviewing and editing contracts
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities
• Excellent organisation and the ability to handle several tasks at once
• Exceptional written and verbal English, including explaining legal concepts to non-lawyers

Nice to have

• Experience at a technology company
• Qualification to practise law in at least one jurisdiction
• Background in commercial contracts, corporate housekeeping or employment matters
