An in house IP attorney role supporting consumer software and hardware products plus new advertising work. You shape IP strategy and handle patent, trademark and commercial matters.
What you will do
- Manage the patent and trademark portfolios and direct outside legal providers
- Lead new IP initiatives and advise on open source matters
- Negotiate and draft commercial agreements on IP development and licensing
- Support corporate development with IP review and analysis for M&A
- Review promotional materials from social media and creative teams for compliance
What they look for
- Five or more years of IP portfolio management and transactional experience
- Business oriented attorney with strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to work closely with product, privacy, engineering, finance and ads teams
