Commercial Credit Analyst, Equipment Finance

About the role

Underwrite commercial borrowers and equipment finance transactions remotely, preparing supported credit recommendations and working with sales, operations, documentation and credit leadership through approval.

What you will do

• Underwrite equipment finance transactions by analysing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, credit reports, collateral and repaymen
• Evaluate equipment loans, finance and operating leases, sale-leaseback deals and vendor finance programmes
• Identify credit risks, policy exceptions and documentation concerns, and propose mitigants
• Write clear credit memoranda and approval recommendations for new deals, renewals and amendments
• Present transactions to senior credit leadership or the credit committee and track approval conditions

What they look for

• Demonstrated underwriting of commercial equipment loans, leases or similar transactions
• Strong analysis of financial statements, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, collateral and repayment capacity
• Experience judging equipment values, advance rates, guarantor support and repayment risk
• Ability to draft concise, accurate credit memoranda and recommendations
• Working knowledge of equipment finance structures, collateral, documentation and credit policy, with independent management of multiple deal
