Fractional Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Own the financial strategy of a growing digital health business, working hands-on with the chief executive, board and investors as the company scales and raises capital.

What you will do

• Lead fundraising and investor relations, including financial models, data rooms and diligence responses
• Own budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash runway planning and monthly board reporting
• Build the finance function, overseeing accounting, close, audit readiness, tax and external providers
• Strengthen unit economics such as cost to serve, gross margin and contract profitability
• Model pricing and value-based or risk arrangements with health plans and public partners
• Advise leadership on hiring, pricing and market expansion decisions

What they look for

• CFO or VP Finance experience at seed to Series C digital health companies
• Hands-on work with payers and health plans, ideally Medicaid managed care or risk contracts
• A track record supporting a successful priced equity round at Series A or later
• Board-level presence with experience presenting to boards and investors
• Comfort operating strategically and in depth in financial data without a team to delegate to
• Commitment to health equity and better outcomes for women and families

Nice to have

• Background in maternal, women's or population health
• Familiarity with FQHC or community health center economics
• Prior fractional or part-time CFO work across several companies
