Legal Counsel, Privacy and Technology

About the role

You will give legal support to the technology and security leadership, turning technical requirements into precise legal language. The role also covers privacy compliance, incident response and general commercial contracts.

What you will do

• Serve as main legal support to the technology and security leadership
• Draft, review and negotiate data processing agreements, security addenda and SaaS documents
• Assess security policies and audit reports for legal and compliance risk
• Work with the privacy officer to keep documents aligned with data protection laws such as GDPR
• Track developments in privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance and intellectual property
• Help build internal policies and processes that meet technical and regulatory duties

What they look for

• A legal degree from an accredited institution
• Qualified to practise law in at least one jurisdiction
• Experience with technology, privacy or security matters
• Proven skill in drafting, reviewing and editing contracts
• Strong legal research and analysis, good organisation and excellent English communication

Nice to have

• Experience at a technology company
• Hands on work with DPAs, security exhibits and SaaS contracts
