What you will do

  • Write and run test plans covering function, security, interoperability and performance against customer requirements
  • Turn test results into deployment plans and support Layer 0 to Layer 2 work, with Layer 3 a plus
  • Do pre-commissioning in labs or staging sites: check equipment against the bill of materials, bring systems up, escalate faults

  • US citizenship and an active Secret clearance, Top Secret preferred
  • Hands-on knowledge of SONET, DWDM, ROADM and nOADM provisioning
  • Ethernet and IP/MPLS/L3 architecture experience
  • Comfort in a lab reading network diagrams, cabling guides and signal flow docs
  • A telecoms background, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and willingness to travel up to 25%

Nice to have

  • Experience with 6500 DWDM/OTN and route switch platforms
  • Familiarity with network management tools and service-aware operating systems
