Oncology Account Executive

About the role

Remote, with most of the week spent in clinics, labs and hospitals across the territory. The job pairs new account hunting with keeping and growing existing relationships, and works alongside regional directors and client services.

At a glance

What you will do

• Hunt new accounts and grow existing ones through prospecting, clinical education and value-based selling
• Build relationships with oncologists, pathologists and other stakeholders through regular in-person visits
• Track territory opportunities, write sales plans and hit revenue and activity targets
• Guide clinicians on ordering and reading molecular profiling reports, including portal and EMR workflows
• Advise customers on billing, reimbursement and payer questions, and flag issues before satisfaction drops

What they look for

• Several years of successful sales in oncology, diagnostics, medical devices or pharma
• A track record in consultative selling, account growth and relationship management
• Comfort with molecular profiling, biomarkers and the competitive testing market
• Strong knowledge of laboratory reimbursement and payer dynamics

A typical week

• In-person visits to oncology clinics, pathology labs and hospitals across the territory
• Calls and meetings with regional directors, client services and other internal teams
• Planning sessions to review pipeline and adjust the territory sales plan
