Senior Financial Crimes Investigator (AML)

About the role

A remote investigator role focused on spotting suspicious financial activity, keeping clients compliant with regulations, and checking the quality of analysts' work. The position carries independence and decision-making authority in a fast-moving setting.

What you will do

• Spot anomalies and warning signs tied to laundering, terrorist funding, fraud and sanctions breaches, then escalate cases for second-level r
• Confirm client identities and the purpose of their banking relationship in line with Know Your Customer rules
• Carry out quality control checks when required
• Handle advanced duties such as talking with clients, reviewing production data and building tailored aids and training material
• Give analysts independent help with workflow and administrative items
• Send written output to internal and client quality teams, revise it from feedback and apply lessons to later work

What they look for

• A completed bachelor's degree
• Skill in probing suspicious activity, weighing findings and drafting detailed Suspicious Activity Reports that meet regulatory and client po
• Solid grasp of the financial or banking sector and its rules and laws
• Clear writing and speaking ability, including summaries that pull recommendations and conclusions together
• A record of hitting or beating daily production targets, with good time management, care for detail and sound prioritisation
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational abilities
