Spacecraft GNC Engineer

About the role

Designs and analyzes guidance, navigation and control systems for spacecraft, working across disciplines to reach elegant designs. The role covers algorithm implementation, simulation and support for on-orbit operations.

What you will do

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in embedded C++
• Set requirements for attitude control algorithms, hardware and related systems, including roadmap work
• Run analysis and simulation of mission specific GNC performance
• Help develop ground processing algorithms for sensor calibration and an offline geolocation pipeline
• Support anomaly resolution for on-orbit systems, including on-call duties
• Help plan, run and validate software and hardware in the loop tests

What they look for

• C++ software skills
• Knowledge of control and optimization theory
• Expertise with numerical environments such as Python, Julia or MATLAB
• Experience designing, analyzing and implementing spacecraft attitude control or GNC subsystems
• Strong communication, presentation and coordination skills, and comfort in a fast-paced setting
