Own the reliability, scaling and security of a large cloud native platform in a regulated setting. The role carries autonomy to choose technologies and shape architecture.
What you will do
- Design, build and run resilient production infrastructure that stays available and scales across cloud environments
- Lead automated alerting and monitoring approaches for infrastructure and databases
- Take ownership of uptime for large systems, databases and distributed services
- Apply security and compliance practices such as FedRAMP and SOC 2 across the development lifecycle
- Assess and lead trials of new tools that improve performance and security
What they look for
- US citizenship
- Five or more years running Linux servers in a global cloud setting
- Three or more years of hands on AWS infrastructure and cloud services work
- Five or more years using Python and Kubernetes in production
- Production experience with cluster performance troubleshooting, auto scaling and service reliability
- Expertise in large scale operations and database reliability engineering
Nice to have
- Work on government projects that require US citizenship
- Experience in sensitive or restricted environments such as FIPS, SELinux or air gapped systems
- Previous database reliability engineering roles
