What you will do
- Own the technical relationship with one strategic client and act as their escalation point
- Run incident, problem, event and change processes using ITIL practices
- Lead root cause analysis on major or recurring outages and follow up with the client
- Review system health, KPIs and performance data, then present findings and advice
- Coordinate support and engineering teams so issues get fixed on time
- Cover critical event days, including weekends, and lead remote teams through them
A typical week
- Reviewing open tickets and incident trends with support and engineering colleagues
- Meeting the client to talk through system health and upcoming changes
- Writing monthly reports on KPIs and service metrics
- Joining root cause sessions for recent outages
- Standing by on event days to coordinate fixes across remote teams
What they look for
- Hands-on background with Windows Server administration
- Network device configuration and Cisco router and switch management
- Familiarity with Azure and AWS, including hybrid setups
- Experience with VMware virtualisation
- Prior success as a technical account manager or in customer-facing engineering
- Strong presentation and documentation skills
Nice to have
- Willingness to step in and troubleshoot directly when extra hands are needed
